Superwoman once said, "Becoming someone's wife isn't everything in a girl's life, there is so much more other than that.. don't let anyone fool you into believing that it’s the most important thing ever"..And I totally agree with her.
Especially in our country, the biggest problem every mother faces, or at least every mother thinks that it a big issue, is a girls marriage! “Girls do not belong in the world outside, they belong in the kitchen”, this saying has been used commonly, everywhere in the world. Equality is still lacking in every country when it comes to girls. And some people are just scared to send their daughters to work, thinking-“what If something happens to her out there? she is all alone!”. Why? because if something happens then, “meri bacchi se shaadi kon karega ab?” (eng trans: who will marry my daughter now?).. This is outrageous!!
And why are you all scared? Because there are guys out there ? and they might rape her? so you tell her to wear a salwar kameez rather than jeans and shirts? WHY? Because the guys out there have minds, so dirty, that they don’t even leave 5 year olds these days? Why are you changing our thinking and stopping us from growing? Why can’t we change their thinking and teach our boys to be respectful to women since their childhood? These questions remained unanswered in a country where no girl has ever gotten justice immediately!
This country, where comedy shows gets banned, but rapists are not, where beef gets banned, but terrorists are given biryani’s for months, this country where our so called ministers are given some sort of VVIP treatment, and our citizens, who work and strive hard for our country, are treated like garbage..
this country, where all the petty issues are made huge by stamping the names of culture and religion on them, and all the huge important issues are thrown in the garbage..
This country is deteriorating .. our minds are deteriorating..
When it comes to marriage, its her choice, not yours!!
When it comes to rape, its his fault, not HERS!!
When it comes to banning something, ban the narrow minded thinking, not the eye openers!!
We need to accept the truth and open our eyes and become a better country by opening our minds a little..
because a land where ministers are treated like kings and girls are treated like sh*t, that lands cannot be named, “MOTHER INDIA”… Because, YAHAN SIRF DHUL UDAI JAATI HAI HUMARI MAA KI AANKHON MEIN, PYAAR TOH BOHOT DUUR KI BAAT HAI (Eng translation: Here, Only dust particles are thrown into our mothers eyes, love is just a fantasy)
SO, let’s start respecting our mother land and follow her rules,
her rules about respecting our women, her rules about equality, about openness to experience, about accepting new cultures, about secularism, about making our country a real land of love, not just a fantasy!!
I know I started this article about women, but its not just about women these days, its about our whole country and changing the thought processes of all of the citizens of our country so that we can grow and develop into a better nation.
One last thought,
Our country is still called a developing country, it’s not the economy’s fault, it’s our fault, not in a financial way, but because of our minds, Our minds have stopped our mother from becoming a developed country, our minds have closed the doors to real freedom!
So let’s stop closing up, and let’s start opening up!!!
Be happy, Be positive,
Laugh,love,live your life!!
Peace! 🙂
